At Gorenje INDOP we are aware that ensuring a safe and healthy living environment is a key requirement for the development and direction of our business. Protection of the environment is a basic right, obligation and responsibility of all INDOP employees.
In 1998 the company management decided to start the process of acquiring the ISO 14001 certification. The process got underway in 1999; the project schedule was established in 2000 and included the analysis of the existing situation, planning of project activities, appointment of the project team and project implementation.
This systematic approach enabled us to meet all ISO 14001 requirements and in November 2000, as per project schedule, the initial Environmental Management System review was carried out.
The inconsistencies found were subsequently eliminated and in December 2002 an external audit and evaluation was performed. The external review revealed no inconsistencies and as of 21 December 2000 our Environmental Management System has been awarded the certificate of compliance with ISO 14001.
